Capacity building workshop Zadar 2025
At the University of Zadar, participants from the academic departments and Student Counselling Service had the opportunity to become acquainted with current concepts and practices related to ensuring inclusion at higher education institutions, as well as to exchange their own experiences of working with students.

Capacity building workshop Belgrade 2025
Led together with the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade, participants from the faculty’s Committee for Student Issues, administration, legal office, students organisation and the vice-deans came together to build on their shared experiences and vision for IDEA concepts, frameworks, policy, practice, networks and community.

Partner Meeting Ljubljana 2024
Partners gathered to plan the next steps for the capacity building workshops in Belgrade and Zadar. The prototyping of the Community of Practice was also discussed and underway.

Capacity building Ljubljana 2024
Hosted over two days at the end of the summer, teaching and administrative staff of the University of Ljubljana gathered at the Faculty of Arts to take part in the IDEA-net’s first capacity building pilot.

Launching the IDEA-net Guideline Toolkit on setting up an IDEA Office - Webinar 2024
The webinar collected feedback on 9 proposed steps for IDEA focused practioners and staff in higher education to advance inclusion and access in their institution. We asked:
- Is the foundational concept of an IDEA office universally understood?
- Are the objectives of the guideline clear?
- Which part of the guidelines could you currently use?
- What’s missing?

Launching the IDEA-net Compendium of IDEA Practices in Higher Education - Webinar 2024
In this webinar, we asked our case providing speakers to reflect on:
- Which specific IDEA activity carried out by your university would you like to scale up, and how would you engage either community, institutional or policy actors locally or abroad?
- What, in your respective regions, is driving IDEA practices in your university to change?
- Where do university policies for IDEA need to go from here, especially in the face of a polarised society?

Partner Meeting Rotterdam 2024
The partnership here was gearing up for the launch of the compendium of cases as well as the guideline toolkit. Planning for the capacity building sessions at the University of Ljubljana, Belgrade and Zadar were underway. Decisions on the prototyping of the community of practice were also taken.

Partner Meeting Dublin 2023
During this visit to University College Dublin, the partnership advanced on the preparation for the first project outputs while learning about the various services and programmes of UCD’s Access and Lifelong Learning Centre.

Partner Meeting Belgrade 2023
This was the first in-person gathering of the partnership. The focus was on finalising the questionnaire for collecting case studies in the compendium. Feedback was integrated to be able to capture how IDEA has been motivated to change over time within institutions.
The guideline toolkit for setting up an IDEA office was brainstormed with partners noting the difficulty to ascertain the set up an IDEA office in the three Western Balkan universities with the span of the project.
