Capacity building tool for IDEA support services
This work package aims to create a long-term strategic plan for building and maintaining equitable relationships across the university to increase knowledge, awareness, and skills regarding diversity and inclusion concepts and practices. The specific objectives include promoting inclusive excellence, developing strong practices of partnership between students, staff, and faculty, and equipping faculty and staff with the knowledge and skills conducive to fostering an inclusive campus climate.
WP will produce the capacity building and peer-learning activities that will equip faculty and staff with the necessary knowledge and skills, the creation of an online program for sharing and repurposing resources supporting IDEA work, and the piloting of the course to test its applicability to diverse national, regional, and institutional contexts. The ultimate goal is to create a space for faculty and staff to explore issues on a deeper level and build relationships needed to drive institutional change.
